The 3rd International Symposium of
Forest GX/DX in Asia

We are pleased to announce that the College of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines (UPLB) will host the 3rd International Symposium of Forest GX/DX* in Asia. The event will take place at the College of Forestry and Natural Resources in Laguna, Philippines, from 25-30 October 2026. This joint symposium is co-organized by the University of Tokyo Forests, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. The program will consist of a two-day academic symposium, followed by a field excursion to the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve.
* "GX" and "DX" stand for "green transformation" and "digital transformation," respectively.

Keynote Speeches & Invited Speeches (on Oct 26)
On the 26th of October in the morning, invited speakers are kindly requested to present on the following topics:
(1) Recent status of the research organization, facilities (incl. university forest), and activities in your university;
(2) Progress and plans for Forest GX/DX in your university forest over the past year;
(3) Recent research outcomes by (faculty and/or university forest) staff and/or students related to Forest GX/DX;and
(4) Suggestions for potential collaboration and contributions related to Forest GX/DX in Asia.
The invited speakers shall be coming from The University of Tokyo (Japan), Seoul National University (Korea), National Taiwan University (Taiwan), University Malaysia Sabah (Malaysia), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), Hainan University (China）, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka), Vietnam National University of Forestry (Vietnam), and University of the Philippines Los Banos (Philippines)
Parallel Sessions (on Oct 27)
Symposium Theme: Scientific Discussion on Forest GX/DX in Asian University Forests.
Three parallel sessions will be held on October 27. Invited speakers from all universities are kindly requested to present in one of the following tracks. We highly encourage and welcome new joint research proposals.

The day will conclude with a wrap-up session and schedule for future activities.

The abstract must not exceed 250 words and maybe downloaded using the attached abstruct template.
Poster Presentation Guidelines
• Format: A0 size, portrait orientation.
• Lightning Talk: Each author is allotted 3 minutes for an oral presentation with PPT slides.
• Awards: Only student-authored posters are eligible for the Best Poster Award.

For all oral and poster presenters, please send the PowerPoint presentation file (.ppt) to the symposium secretariat (alcodilan@up.edu.ph) by Oct 01, 2026. Your PowerPoint presentations submitted to us will be printed out and shared in the symposium.
